Updating your password
You can change your password any time from your account settings, which are powered by Clerk.
- Click your profile avatar in the top right of the portal to open the account menu.
- Choose Manage account.
- In the Account dialog, switch from Profile to the Security tab on the left.
- Next to Password, click Update password.
- Enter your New password, then re-enter it under Confirm password.
- Leave Sign out of all other devices checked (recommended) if you’d like to be signed out everywhere else that may have used your old password.
- Click Save.
Your new password takes effect immediately. The next time you sign in with email and password, use the new one.
Trouble updating?
Section titled “Trouble updating?”- The Save button only enables once both fields match and meet the minimum strength requirements.
- If you signed up with Google or Microsoft and have never set a password, the Security tab will offer to set one for the first time instead of updating an existing one.
