Updating your password

You can change your password any time from your account settings, which are powered by Clerk.

  1. Click your profile avatar in the top right of the portal to open the account menu.
  2. Choose Manage account.
  3. In the Account dialog, switch from Profile to the Security tab on the left.
  4. Next to Password, click Update password.
  5. Enter your New password, then re-enter it under Confirm password.
  6. Leave Sign out of all other devices checked (recommended) if you’d like to be signed out everywhere else that may have used your old password.
  7. Click Save.

Your new password takes effect immediately. The next time you sign in with email and password, use the new one.

  • The Save button only enables once both fields match and meet the minimum strength requirements.
  • If you signed up with Google or Microsoft and have never set a password, the Security tab will offer to set one for the first time instead of updating an existing one.
