Onboarding
Onboarding is only for new clients who need to provide their details. If your firm already has your information on file — or set up your profile for you — you won’t see this flow. When onboarding is required, the portal will prompt you the first time you sign in and walk you through a short series of questions before any work begins.
Individual / household onboarding
Section titled “Individual / household onboarding”You’ll be asked to confirm or provide:
- Legal name and date of birth
- Filing status and dependents (if applicable)
- Mailing address and phone number
- Spouse details, if filing jointly
You can save and return — none of these screens have to be completed in one sitting.
Organization onboarding
Section titled “Organization onboarding”For business clients your firm collects:
- Legal entity name and DBA (if any)
- Entity type (LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp, partnership, etc.)
- EIN
- Registered address and primary contact
- Officers / partners as relevant
After onboarding
Section titled “After onboarding”Once submitted, the information is reviewed by your accounting firm. You’ll be directed to the Dashboard, where active services and upcoming deadlines appear as your firm sets them up.
If something needs to change later, see Client Settings.
